A new president for Mary Kay North America
This month, the direct-sales beauty company named a new leader for its business in the US and Canada. Mary Kay selected a company veteran to succeed Darrell Overcash when he retires next year.

Overcash has been with Mary Kay for over 20 years and president of the North America region for the past 10. His prior roles with the company include executive vice president of human resources and operations, as well as vice president and general manager of the Mary Kay North Central Distribution Center (a facility located in Hoffman Estates, Illinois).

”We salute Darrell on his upcoming retirement after two decades of success with the company and also congratulate Nathan as he transitions into his new role as President of Mary Kay North America,” says David Holl, president and CEO of Mary Kay, in a press release about the change in leadership.

Next in line

Nathan is Nathan Moore, who’s worked with Mary Kay since 1995. “Early in his career, Nathan looked for every opportunity to be involved with Mary Kay’s Independent Sales Force and has been active in industry matters,” notes Holl.

“He brings a deep and unique understanding of our business to his new position along with an unrivaled passion for celebrating the success of the Mary Kay Independent Sales Force. His guidance, knowledge and leadership will be invaluable as we build on our efforts of enriching women’s lives in the U.S. and Canada alongside our countries around the world.”

As regional president, Moore is charged with growing the beauty company’s business in both the US and Canada, and with acting as a strategic guide for the region’s business as it exists today.

Before and after

In his career with Mary Kay, Moore worked as a staff attorney and as the company’s chief legal officer and secretary. He’s also been active with the Direct Selling Association, the Direct Selling Educational Foundation, and the Personal Care Products Council.

Moore’s predecessor as regional president, Darrell Overcash, is set to retire in January 2017. Between now and then the two men and the Mary Kay team will be working to make the leadership transition seamless.
