CPNA conference presentation gazes into the future of cosmetics

At this year’s Cosmoprof North America (CPNA) event one conference presentation that you won't want to miss out on is a roundtable discussion on how the future of the industry is shaping up.

Moderated by myself, Simon Pitman, the roundtable discussion is titled “Look Into The Future: What Do You See?” and combines some of the leading experts from a broad cross section of industry fields who will all be helping to create a clearer picture of what to see on store shelves in the future.

This year the 15th annual CPNA will again take place in Las Vegas at the Mandalay Bay Convention Centre, between July 9 – 11, with more than 1,000 exhibitors and around 33,000 visitors expected to attend.

The presentation will take place on Monday, July 10, 2017, between 4pm and 5:30pm as part of the CNPA Educational Classes, and will be held in the conference meetings rooms at the upper level of the Convention Centre.

The discussion panel will represent the formulation, data mining and digital technology areas of the industry, with each panellist bringing a valuable and unique perspective on the industry’s future, and where successful product development and marketing strategy are heading.

On the formulation side, Isabelle Lacasse, global marketing director at Lucas Meyer Cosmetics will be bringing her company’s perspective on ingredient and formulation development, and how technologically advanced ingredients are helping to raise the bar on product efficacy.

Michael Nolte, who is the creative director at online trend intelligence company Beautystreams, will be explaining about how vital insights on consumer behaviour and brand strategy can help to shape the products of tomorrow and guide them through a successful marketing strategy.

Then there is data mining, which is helping to shine a light on the complex behaviour of consumers in the digital era. Ron Rheingold, director of business development at Meitu, a company behind some of the leading beauty apps, will discuss how this technology can help shape future business strategies.

Currently tickets are on sales to PBA members at $50 until the 9th of June, costing $60 thereafter, while non-members will pay $65 until the 9th of June and $75 thereafter.
