The Personal Care Products Council will hold its annual meeting later this month, bringing together 500+ industry executives, supply-side professionals, and media for a mix of educational programming, networking, and strategic meetings.

The Washington DC – based trade organization is dedicated to “modernizing government policies, advocating for sound science, ensuring global access, and maintaining consumer confidence,” according to the PCPC about page.

And that’s a newly refreshed and up-to-date about page—as part of the Council’s 125th anniversary celebration, the PCPC relaunched its site at the start of the year.

New media

According to press materials shared with Cosmetics Design, “the PCPC undertook an effort to modernize our digital presence, making the website a more user-friendly and strategic resource for members, policymakers, media, staff, and other key stakeholders.”

The new site is mobile friendly, designed to be comparable to other contemporary trade association sites, includes bios of the organization’s leadership, and a searchable news feature to help site visitors find press releases, legislative testimonies, statements on the industry’s economic impact and more.

Meeting preview

This year’s PCPC annual meeting will take place February 24 – 27 in Palm Beach, Florida, and the programming is robust.

Dr. Sally Uren, CEO of Forum for the Future, will deliver a keynote on future-proofing business. And, Paul Zilopoulos, VP of big data at IBM, will speak about AI and what it means for the industry.

Over the course of the meeting event, executives from P&G, Unilever, L’Oréal, Croda, and the PCPC leadership will discuss topics ranging from sustainable business growth to global regulatory issues.

And workshops and talks will cover leading-edge cosmetics and personal care industry issues such as Brexit, Hemp and CBD, wellness marketing (Vikram Bhaskaran of Pinterest), and consumer decision making (Michelle Lee of Allure).
